Spotlight On Hon. Uzoma Henry Ezediaro

Some are born great, while others attain greatness by themselves. Uzoma Henry Ezediaro was born to the family of Ogbuagu A. G. Ezediaro and Ogbuefi Eunice Ezediaro. Uzoma grew up strongly and as a young boy, had his primary school at Sacred Heart Primary School, Oguta. Upon completion of his primary education, he gained admission into the prestigious Catholic Mission School at Ihiala Anambra State. Due to his humble disposition, he held several positions at Holy Ghost Juniorate Ihiala and passed out with flying colours from 1988 to 1994. As it wasn’t the wish of his parents, he could not proceed to become a Catholic Priest.

Uzoma Henry Ezediaro, then proceeded to Imo State University, Owerri where he studied Microbiology and graduated in 2001. As a vibrant fresh graduate, Uzoma left Oguta Ameshi his home town to join his uncle Ogbuagu Barr. Sam Ezediaro, who has conglomerate of business in Port Harcourt. His humility and steadfastness earned him enormous success and today, Uzoma Henry Ezediaro is   a well established and accomplished business magnate.

Uzoma, a young philanthropist, has in no little way helped alleviate the plight of the poor in the society, sponsoring some indigent students through high school to mention but a few. As an epitome of philanthropy, he makes it a way of life to celebrate his birthdays with the less privileged in the society during which he distributes gift items and other relief materials to them. In 2011, Uzoma celebrated his birthday with the inmates of Owerri Prisons in a grand style. What a noble disposition. What could be more American than this?

Uzoma Henry Ezediaro, a sportsman and lover of football is a sole donor and sponsor of Oguta Unity Cup, a competition designed to catch young football talents in Oguta LGA from 2010 till date.

Will the Ohaji-Egbema and Oguta LGAs flood victims ever forget Uzoma Henry Ezediaro? NEVER! Not while they have their being on this earth. When in 2012 an unprecedented flood that ravaged the LGAs and rendered so many families homeless and famished, EZEDIARO FOUNDATION rose to the occasion with the provision of various food items like rice, beans, yams, etc to the Imo State Government for onward distribution to the victims. Due to huge loss of properties by the people of Oguta Ameshi, Uzoma Ezediaro made a separate donation to his people and was received and on behalf of the victims by the EZE IGWE of Oguta, Eze Nnani Nzeribe. Little wonder in 2013, Sacred Heart Catholic Parish found him worthy and bestowed upon him the title of EZINWATA EJI AGAMBA for his selfless service to God and mankind.

However, Uzoma Henry Ezediaro has passion for politics from a very tender age during his school days. He was deeply involved in the high school politics. And that showcases why he ran for the Federal House of Representative, Ohaji/Egbma/Oguta/Oru west Federal Constituency Seat under the platform of PDP. The political debut was a good outing regardless of the massive violence and rigging that marred the primary election.

On February 12, 2014, Uzoma humbly declared for the All Progressives Congress (APC) with his teaming supporters across Oguta LGA. On that red letter day, RT. Hon. Benjamin Uwajimogu, Speaker Imo State House of Assembly who represented the Leader of APC and Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha, OON, welcomed Uzoma and his supporters to the party and enjoined the people of Oguta LGA to rally round Uzoma for the political upliftment of Oguta LGA.

To God be the glory for the emergence of Uzoma Henry Ezediaro as the flag-bearer of our great party, the APC in the 2015 house of assembly elections for Oguta State constituency election. This is now the long awaited opportunity to vote him in as the change we need.
